The Sisseton Wahpeton College Mustangs program had a busy month in January. The Men's team went an overall 5-7 record with a great win coming over #6 Ranked Trinity Bible College 88-83. The Lions were ranked #6 in NCCAA polls earlier last week 01/25/21. With a handful of new recruits coming in second semester the Mustangs Men team is starting to get into a groove as the start of the month gives the Mustangs a much needed break in terms of rest between games. The final three home games scheduled will allow spectators to attend, with the first home game scheduled for 02/13/21-02/14/21 against Nueta Hidatsa Salish College from Newtown ND.

The Women's basketball program didn't see much action first semester, but has started off 0-3 to begin the new year. The program is scheduled to play a total of 10 games over the next month with hopes of getting a HOME games for our athletes. With a young team, Coach Crawford hopes change of pace basketball will be the new trend moving forward as competition has increased over the course of the year. Covid may have slowed things down in terms of recruitment but our program and community is very fortunate to be able to compete at such a high level and a bigger stage.

Watch for more highlights and upcoming player profiles as we introduce our student/athletes. #GOMUSTANGS
