Greetings everyone! ECIP had our monthly parent meeting on Wednesday February 10th. The topic was "Benefits of Reading."

Here are some key tips from the meeting: Reading with children promotes brain development and imagination. It helps with early literacy skills. They learn the value of books and stories. It also helps with their ability to focus, helps their communication skills and social skills. Remember to choose books that they are interested in, make it fun, be silly and be excited about reading. I would like to thank our staff for taking the time to do a reading video. Thank you Charnelle, Elsie and Laurie!

We had 226 families sign in for diapers, pull-ups or laundry soap. That was an awesome turn out. For next time, if you cannot make it the day of the parent meeting be sure to text or Facebook message Rolanda letting her know who will pick up your diapers for you. Parent meeting day is the only day to pick them up.

Remember if your child had a birthday recently, call our office and talk to Deb. 698-4400. Or text 268-1199.

Our next parent meeting will be March 17th via Facebook with Tom Wilson.

Stay warm and be safe.
