Kenneth Allen Fayant AKA "Papa Turtle" 62, of Enemy Swim will be held on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at the Enemy Swim Community Center, Enemy Swim, SD with Fr. Charles Chan and Valarie Augusston officiating. Pallbearers will be Charlie Vermillion, Chris Fayant, Blue Grant, Wilfred Fayant Jr., Tyler Fayant, Rodney Fayant, Nate Shepherd, KeAndre Grant-Campbell, and Garret Iyarpeya. Honorary Pallbearers will be Natasha Saul, LouAnne Phelps, Cameron Fayant Jr., Eagan Fayant, Solar Fayant, Duane Hislaw Sr., Randy Iyarpeya, Misty Fayant, Hank Iyarpeya, Danita Greene, Sonia Rouillard, Corey Shepherd, Dave Wasilk, Russell Owen, Marcell Hopkins, Enemy Swim District Employees and all of Kenneth's Friends & Relatives. All night Wake services will be held on Sunday, April 4, 2021 and Monday, April 5, 2021 at 7:00 P.M. Interment will be in the St. James' Episcopal Cemetery, Enemy Swim. Drum Group will be Long Elk. The Cahill Funeral Chapel, Sisseton, SD is in charge of arrangements.

Kenneth was born on July 4, 1958 to Wilfred Fayant SR. and Roberta Owen-Fayant. Kenny grew up in the Waubay-Enemy Swim, area and other various places. He lived in Mobridge where he met the mother of his children. Kenny went to Kicking Horse Job Corp in Poplar, Mt where he received his GED. Kenny did a lot of farm work and mechanic work for Dave Wasilk. He also enjoyed doing mechanic work on other people's vehicles. Kenny started work at the Enemy Swim District Center doing day labor, and then started doing work under the Experience Works program doing maintenance. Kenny was always a kind and caring person. He was always there to help someone when they needed it. He got along with everyone. He cared a lot about his grandkids, and enjoyed visiting family & friends. A special thank you to his Niece Natasha who took him to his Dr. appointments, cancer treatments and stayed with him and took care of him while in Sioux Falls. Kenny journeyed to the spirit world on March 29, 2021 after a long hard battle with cancer and pneumonia.

Kenneth is survived by his two sons, Kenny Tiger of Mobridge, SD and Jeremy Tiger of Fort Yates, ND; daughter Pearl Tiger of Fort Yates, ND; brothers Rodney Fayant of Watertown, SD, Wilfred Fayant Jr. of Grand Island, NE; sisters, Barb (Randy) Iyarpeya, Roxanne (Duane) Hislaw both of Enemy Swim, SD;;and numerous nieces, nephews and grandkids.

Kenny was preceded in death by his parent Wilfred Fayant Sr. and Roberta Fayant; brothers Kevin Fayant, Ronald Fayant; sisters Cheryl Fayant, Debbie Fayant; nephews Cody Campbell, Jason Shepherd, Ronald Thennis; grandsons Chaske Geshick; Andrew Grey IV; granddaughter Esperanza Fayant; and maternal and paternal grandparents.
