The tagged fish will still get a prize if caught. The tag can be taken to the SWO fish and wildlife dept.

The Old Agency dam is maintained by fish and wildlife crew. It is a family friendly fishing spot with grills, benches and canopy for gatherings. Families are encouraged to fish there.

Chance prize drawings were given throughout the tournament, including a drawing for trash pick up. This gathering is a green friendly event with minimal trash so it is environmentally friendly. All participants are asked to bring water bottles or their own cups. Coolers of water are provided.

Four monthly youth fishing tournaments are scheduled for the summer of 2021 as a community partnership project. While different lakes were originally planned, the run off from fields and the heat have made them not so fishing friendly so the OA dam will be used.

The third tournament was a great success with much thanks to the SWO Fish and Wildlife Crew! The Youth Department Crew! And the Nis'to Inc Crew! Tom Wilson! And community volunteers!

The next tournament will be held August 15th at the Old Agency Dam and will celebrate the Tunwin's and Deks'is of the families.
