Function/Mission Statement:
The Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations (FDPIR) is administered at the Federal
level by the Food and Nutrition Service (FNS), an agency of the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
We provide food assistance to income eligible families in the Roberts, Day and Marshall
Counties; also assist tribal members in the other surrounding counties.
Each month participating households receive a food package to help them maintain a
nutritionally balanced diet.

September participation was 287 individuals and 138 households.

The FY2022 proposed budget was submitted at last year’s amount as directed by counsel.
The Food Distribution program went before council for the purchase of a plow.
We are following all CDC guidelines while distributing commodities to our clients.
Clients are not allowed in the building and all staff are working together to make it a safe work
environment.
