October 2021 Food Card Distribution
We regret to inform you the Buche-Dakota Crossing food cards for this month only, will not be automatically reloaded. Our office experienced a process error and you will have to be reissued new cards for October 2021. Buche-Dakota Crossing food cards will be automatically reloaded in November 2021.
You will be getting a new food card assigned to you and you will need to carry and protect the food card like a debit/credit card. You will need to contact my office if your is lost and/or stolen after receiving the reloadable October 2021 card.
Our office will be distributing the food cards as follows: Buche-Dakota Crossing and all food cards will be available to pick up and use on Wednesday, October 20, 2021, at the Tribal Administration Building in the Rotunda between the hours of 9am to 3pm. Please pick up the food card on this date and after you can pick up the food card in my office during regular business hours. We will update this notice if the date is changed using OyateNews at http://www.oyatenews.com and KXSW radio station.
The rest of the food cards to be mailed for October 2021, will start on Thursday, October 21, 2021. The process will continue until all the cards are in the mail. This process can take up to 10 business days until the process is completed.
Your patience during the influx of changes for the food cards is appreciated. Human error is possible and not intentional. Expressing your anger at staff is not helpful. Minerva Keoke, Elderly Resource Coordinator, can always be reached at 605-698-3911 at extension 6633. Please provide self-addressed stamped envelopes if you would prefer to have you food card delivered by regular postal mail with attention my office.
