Buffalo Lake District YOUTH

$100 WalMart Gift Card Distribution

When: Tuesday, November 23rd, 2021

Time: 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Where: Buffalo Lake District Center

Honorary Youth Members are not eligible for the $100 WalMart Gift Card

***Youth must be present with their parent to pick up gift card

***Facemasks are MANDATORY at all times while in the District Center


ADULT $200 disbursement and ADULT $100 WalMart gift card date for distribution has changed to Tuesday, November 30th at Dakota Magic Casino. Please see below for details!

SWO Tribal Council had passed a Council Motion to authorize Dakota Nation Gaming Enterprise to distribute $200 to each tribal member for district days.

Buffalo Lake District Days

Where: DAKOTA MAGIC CASINO Convention Center

When: Tuesday, November 30th, 2021

Time: 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Who: All Buffalo Lake District Members 18 years of age and older

Amount: $400 plus a $100 WalMart Gift Card

Honorary District Members will receive $100 from the Buffalo Lake District

Facemasks are MANDATORAY while in the Convention Center

Dakota Magic Casino Promotional Rules will apply:

1. All District Members must have a Player's Club Card from Dakota Magic Casino (except for district members ages 18-20)

2. All District Members must have a valid ID. **Note: clipped, damaged, expired, photocopies of an ID, paper ID are not valid and will not be accepted. A tribal ID card works the best.

3. All District Members must be present in order to participate in the District Day Promotion.

Sunday, November 28th, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at the Buffalo Lake District Center.

**Face masks are MANDATORY.

Birthday checks are done at the District Meetings ONLY! They will not be done at Casino District Days.

November Birthdays:

Birthday checks for November birthdays ages 18 years old to 54 years old will be distributed at the district meeting. Must be present to pick up birthday check and must bring a photo ID.

BUFFALO LAKE DISTRICT ELDERLY NOVEMBER MEETING: The monthly District Elderly meeting will be held on Saturday, November 13th at the District Center. Lunch will be at noon and the meeting to start at 1:00p.m.

BUFFALO LAKE DISTRICT ELDERLY HARDSHIP REQUESTS: The District has received funds from the Tribe so that Elderly Hardship requests can now be taken. Due to the number of District Elders we now have the amount for the District Elderly Hardship for 2021 has been set at $150.00. In order to receive your Elderly Hardship you must submit in writing a request for a hardship. Your name will then be placed on the list for an Elderly Hardship request. Regardless of where you live you must submit in writing your Elderly Hardship Request. If you live out of town you will need to mail your request to the following address. Then you will be notified as to where to pick up your Elderly Hardship request if you live in town. If you live out of town your Hardship Request will be mailed to you.

BUFFALO LAKE DISTRICT ELDERLY BIRTHDAYS: To inform and update all District Elders about Elderly Birthdays. Elderly Birthdays are addressed once a month at the Elderly meeting, which is held the 2ND Saturday of the month at the District Center. The District Elderly Executives have a list and they do know who has a birthday for a specific month. You will not receive your Elderly Birthday check on your birthday or at the meeting. Once the Elderly Birthday checks have been processed. You will be contacted as to where you can pick up your check if you live in town. If you live out of town your check will be mailed to you.

Reminder for all Buffalo Lake District Elderly: Please make sure you update your information with the Elderly Board. A letter was mailed out to all elders on the roster. If you haven't received a letter requesting updated information, please contact Lisa RedWing at (605) 237-3521
