Program: Maternal Child Health Program – Lorraine German, Manager

MCH Goal: To restore and sustain the basic self-sufficiency, dignity, and integrity of Indian families on the Lake Traverse Reservation through the prevention and reduction of disease.

Please be advised of the following accomplishments of the Maternal Child Health Program Staff during the month of September 2021.

81 Maternal Child Health patients were given supportive transportation services to Well Child Clinics and various resource agencies.

There was 8 infants born, at CDP in Sisseton, SD. The Maternal Child Health Aides provided postpartum care and follow-up, including referral services, to various agencies. There was two women diagnosed as first prenatals during the month of September 2021. These first prenatals patients were afforded the supportive services offered by the Maternal Child Health Staff.

MCH staff completed IHS required yearly ISSA training and CPR and FIRST AID training. MCH staff also assisted the CHR staff putting together Covid-19 buckets for local self-help homes.

The mileage for MCH during this was 1,210.
