Title: Chief Employee Services Officer

Reports to: DNGE CEO

Summary of Occupation:

Chief Employee Services Officer (CESO) oversees all employee services at the three (3) DNGE properties. The employee services department is responsible for the development and maintenance of programs aimed at maximizing employee's physical, social, emotional and spiritual well being. The CESO will work with the DNGE Corporate Officers and the three (3) property General Managers as well as property managers in establishing and maintaining an effective Employee Services Department.


 The CESO will have administrative responsibility over all Employee Services employees.

 The CESO will be responsible for the on-going development and maintenance of the following DNGE program and/or departments

o Developing the Productive Employee (DPE) – a two day class for individuals that may have experienced difficulty in maintaining successful employment with a SWO entity by helping them deal with issues in their life negativity affecting their work performance

o Employee Assistance – provides counseling services to DNGE employees and their dependents as well as consultation services to DNGE managers and other outside agencies

o Training – the ES department will coordinate training activities at all three (3) properties and will conduct regular supervisors/managers training, customer service training, train the trainer and any other training requested

o Wellness program – the ES department will be responsible for coordinating the development and maintenance of an employee wellness program CESO

o Substance Abuse Recovery – the CESO will be responsible for administering the Substance Abuse Program

o Any other duties as assigned that may be of service to the entire SWO


Licensed Psychologist or BA in Human Services with an emphasis in Counseling

Chemical Dependency Experience

Recovery Coaching Experience

Life Coaching Experience

5 years experience working in Indian Gaming

Conditions of Employment

Must be licensable by the SWO Gaming Commission

Must complete a successful 90 day probationary period

Tribal preference will apply/EEO

Must maintain licensing/certification requirements

Ability to establish and maintain curriculum in development


Will be required to travel to the other three (2) casinos on a regular basis

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Excellent communication and organization skills necessary

Exhibit sound decision making practices under a variety of conditions

To perform other duties as assigned
